i was donwnloading need for speed and it failed twice and no my Playbook won't turn on. I just have a blinking red light in the top left corner. Its brand new. whjats going on., I held down the power button but that light wont go off
First make sure the PB is charged for at least four hours
If the PB still does not start then do the following
Turn on your PC
Start DM
Connect PC><PB by USB
The PB should connect
If you have data on the PB then try to do a backup.
If you have no data on the PB, at the time the PB connects to DM there should be an option to reinstall the OS.
Select reinstall
After reinstall you should be ready to go

Don't worry. Your PB's is very robust.
Try holding the power button down for 10 seconds to force a soft restart. If that doesn't work hard restart it by power, volume up, volume down buttions held down at the same time for 10 seconds. Try those techniques first.
ok I did all that and when the light stops i go to turn it back on and it starts blinking again. it only blinks red twice then pause then blinks again.
You did the 3-finger, 3-button? Try again, as the red light is blinking.
After that try the debrick:
Turn the PB off, Plug it onto your computer with USB, make sure your BB desktop software is open prior to doing this. It will detect the PlayBook before it loads the OS. Reinstall the OS from your computer.
Connect the PB to your PC with Desktop Manager (DM) running.
From the Menu, click Device>update.
You'll get a notification that the OS is up to date.
Reboot your PB while still connected to DM.
You will then get a new prompt in DM, hit the update button.
