Yeah the first photo is from BlackBerry Tablet OS 1.0.x (Before they renamed it "PlayBook OS")

There has been funky issues with App World for a while now. I figure they're doing back end working and testing things out for BlackBerry 10. Have to remember, App World is really just a website being displayed locally on your device. RIM can (and has) switch it up at any time.
