People who come on here and bash don't understand or care to understand too much. The current Playbook uses an OMAP4430, dual core 1 GHz architecture. There is an OMAP 4460 that is Dual Core 1.5 GHz that could be dropped in at anytime to the existing architecture as a running change if RIM so desired. Their is an OMAP 4470 coming out in Q4 with an updated GPU and 1.8 GHz that again could be done as a running change. Their is the OMAP 5 architecture that will be a PIN for PIN replacement of the OMAP 4 and have two A15 2 GHz cores, to M4 Cores and a dual core GPU. The hardware that RIM has gone with is extremely scalable and they are still working on the software. Personally I will be more comfortable running Android as a sandboxed app than as an OS accessible to all data on the device, but that's just me.
