An easy way to tell is by clicking on the app somewhere that doesn't have a clickable event (instead of clicking on a button). In an android app, the Android Player bar will display across the bottom of the screen (back button, full screen toggle).

You can also swipe right-to-left along the bottom bezel, which acts like the back button on Android. If there is a screen to go back to, it will change screens. Otherwise, it will minimize the app. The back-swipe motion doesn't work in native apps.

The native ones are more fluid and don't tend to freeze a lot, while you'll now when is an android one when it has a little bar at the bottom with a back button, an info icon and a orientation switcher, and also they have different UI.

I created a folder to keep the icons in that makes it easy (once you know which is which). Some of the android ports don't work well. The "official" ones available in App World seem better.

In the attached images, the RED Rectangles outline the Android Status bar at the bottom of the screen. As noted above, a downward swipe or a swipe across the lower bezel (depending on orientation) will display it. You should also note that Rim does not allow Developers to identify their apps as Android in Appworld. Sometimes the images in appworld will show the status bar which is a give-away but sometimes there is no image showing it.

That's Ghost Commander which is an Android app available in Appworld.
