Hey guys i was wondering if anyone could help me!... my reboot has changed ( it takes long now)

i dont actually know how long it is in minutes as i havent timed it...but in terms of the colour cycle, it used to take me to the password screen when it got to purple.. now its completely surpassed that and does a full colour cycle back to blue and then turns on when its turning green.. what the h*ll???????!!!??????

i updated the os to 2.1 on the day it came out and it has been normal until a few days ago, and im tryna wonder why... i havent dropped it or anything... i have added a few games onto it (but to me this shouldnt be significant as my 16 gb playbook had over 100 apps installed with no change in reboot time)...

so does anyone know why it may be taking longer all of a sudden, for no apparent reason?

obviously this isnt a huge issue as i dont actually reboot my device (only a couple of times and also when my battery dies) .... but still i dnt want this to be a sign of my playbook starting to fail... its only a few months old

Doubt it is a sign of your pb failing. Mine takes a good bit to boot up as well and I know it seems to take even longer when I'm in a hurry. Mine also goes to the green before I get my homescreen too. Guessing it's just sorting thru the mess I made the day before.

I just timed mine, it has gone up to 7 minutes now. Maybe it is security checking all those side loaded apps! Glad I don't have to reboot too often.

Mine took about 4+ minutes the other day when I first read this post. A pretty loaded 64gig with quite a number of sideloaded app. No idea what causes the different timings, apps, files, ?????

As said both mine took around 2mins 20secs to boot up........one would have alot of music and video, the other is pretty much as it came out of the box......i've no need for alot of apps, theres maybe 10 on each.

Sod's law that it takes longer when you watch it. Most retailers will tell you this; especially when buying BlackBerry phones, they take longer to load. Always have.
