Missing Profile Pics on Facebook
Has anyone else had this problem? When I open Facebook using the Playbook application, there are no profile pictures. All other pictures show up, but no profile pictures. Same with my wife and daughter's PBs. Tried logging out, and also tried rebooting the PB. Any thoughts?

I've noticed the exact same thing today (I'm in the UK, so must be a global issue). I tried uninstalling, then reinstalling the Facebook app, but that made no difference. As nothing has changed on the Playbook, I'm guessing that there has been a change in code on the Facebook site which is causing this. Hopefully it will get fixed reasonably quickly.

Yeah, that's weird, I don't use the app much,usually use the browser and that's been a pain also, believing its on the Facebook side.

I also just use the browser, but my wife mentioned it to me yesterday that her and our daughter weren't getting the profile pictures with the app. Then I tried it, and of course had the same experience. Oh, well. There was a post earlier about a potential PB OS update coming out soon. Wonder if this issue has anything to do with it?

The PlayBook built in Facebook App is horrible. This issue with the profile pictures has been a known problem for ages. I understand it has something to do with FaceBook changing the way their underlying data was presented, but the necessary updates to the PlayBook app have never been made. The best recomendation is to delete (or at least forget about) the app, and just use the Website (works perfectly in the Playbook browser).

Yep, I deleted the app on my Playbook until BB10 update comes out.

I'm not sure if that is the case. The developer is listed as 'Research In Motion' on the BB World website.

Just use the website and forget the App. It's much easier. Don't really know why the app is needed when the website works so well in the Playbook's browser. You can always create a shortcut to the Facebook website, then you'd barely know you wern't using an app to be honest...

I sideloaded the Android Facebook app and problem solved!
