Has anyone successfully paired the Microsoft N5000 bluetooth mouse with their playbook? My playbook pairs with the mouse but no cursor pops up?

No. I was giving it till the newest update came out to see if that fixed it. No dice. Im returning it today.

For the record it pairs and connects fine... just doesnt do anything after that.

Same here- connects, but no cursor or activity at all. I think it's a problem specific to the microsoft bluetooth mouse and playbook. i was able to pair it with my laptop no problem, and it worked fine. I ended up returning mine and ordering a logitech bluetooth mouse from amazon. good luck.

no it does not work as it's a known issue. you guys should have searched the forums before buying it. that's what made me choose the Dell BT mouse over the Microsoft one.

Hey Rjom just realized you're one of the ones that bought it after reading my thread =) hope it works well enough for you. Definately not perfect but it works consistently. Much better for website clicking and excel!

Damn, wish I'd seen all this before I bought it. Can confirm it links up fine to Playbook, just doesn't do anything. Shame.

On December 3. 2012. I paired said mouse to my Playbook using the code '0000'
I get a cursor and can move it any where on screen and activate links etc. Not able to highlight text etc and still trying to find other functions that work.

I looked for the Dell BT mouse in Canada, but didn't find anything for $15! About $30 from Dell. And on eBay nothing in Canada and by time shipping is added $40+ from USA.

Several other BT mice from Asus and others. But how to know if they would work.

I am using the mouse now and navigating in CB forums app with no problem. Works in docs to go. However, in email and CB forum, right click only select a single word and the two handles do not come out to allow you to select more text. Navigating is no problem at all and I use it to navigate while connected to the office desktop through the citrix app all the time. By the way, I got the mouse from a church bazzar for $1.00
