    I cant use a wall charger or plug it into my pc.. I bought my PB in January or Feb but i can't find the receipt. is RIM going to charge for a repair?

    it started screwing up before 2.1 and now just doesnt work at all. Its definitely a hardware problem, not software.

    RIM should have a record of when you activated it. You're well within the one year warranty period so definitely give them a call.

    Yes. Mine stopped. No charge no backup. I called RIM support on Wednesday. They sent a box on Thursday. I mailed it back by FedEx on Friday. Tuesday I had a brand new Playbook. They call it a like device swap. Since then, I stick to the desk and rapid charger. Save the micro usb for syncing/back ups.

    You have to do the 90 info first. Either before calling or while on the phone with them. Number is 877-644-8410. Thry get pissy if you haven't done it prior.

    I got mine the day it came out. And they replaced it this past august. So it was at a year and a half almost.

    Look in the port - the connector should be level and more or less centered. If bent down/up, you might GENTLY try flexing it back into position.

    Otherwise call and see what's what. Physical damage might not be covered.

    The PB has a one year warranty to the original purchaser. It also has 90 free Tech support. I do not know how Rim deals with "quasi-tech support v. warranty"

    Or buy a rapid charger (not the dock) and sink your files using wifi. At least your PlayBook will charge faster.
