    Both works ok.

I want to get a little converter/adapter. Just a short dongle that can take a regular hdmi cable and convert the end to the micro used on the pb. I believe monoprice has one but the shipping costs will be more than the dongle - I missed it when I was ordering my two cables from them.

edited to add: Eh, I just ordered the little adapter and one or two other items from monoprice including a longer 15' cable for more freedom of movement.

Bought two cables from Best Buy and Futureshop for app. $30. Both a sloppy fit in the Playbook so I returned them and found a $5 cable that fit better, but still loose. This seems to be an interface issue with the PB as the micro connector does not fully seat in the PB female end. As the cable is digital it does not need to be of "superior" quality.

When on vacation, I'll not have access to a PC, but will instead travel with the Playbook. Is this the type of cable I need to move photos off the camera to the PB? The camera is a Fuji HS10 with an HDMI port:

    Thanks!

Newegg usually sells 6ft cables around 4-6 dollars. I bought a 5ft one from another vendor through newegg for $2.98 + free shipping.

Sorry but NO. The pb does not yet (if ever) support the movement of files between usb devices other than the normal computer connections. It is called OTG (on the go) and the pb has the physical chips but is not supported at this time.

No one has come by and said whether the newish wifi-enabled sd cards would work.

You've got to be kidding! There's no way to accomplish this? Darn it! This is one of the main reasons I bought the PB.

    Thanks for the reply, though.
