I just use a small business card holder I had sitting on my desk. I also use it for my phone while sitting on my night stand.

Nice stand OP! I found an old modem stand (I think it was) one day. It works well for free but I can't charge it or have it connected to usb without it being upside down.

If stands were 75$ I'd consider it.

Great ideas all around, just go into any dollar store and you can find something (bring your Playbook with you to try).

My post was just showing what you can do in 5 minutes with stuff laying around at home for free. At least in my home... where I have quite a few "bits and pieces" in my toolbox.

Any "tinkerer" will know the #1 rule is never throw away any hardware bits. Stash them in your toolbox, you never know when you'll need it to fix the kids toys, mend an appliance or make a Playbook stand. :-)

Otherwise it is more of a fun project than a matter of saving money (like any vegetable gardener will tell you).
