today due to a battery drain i decided to do a wipe of my playbook but when i reinstalled the 2.0 version i didn't found the shoutdown button in the app and also the gmail, yahoo and hotmail launcher....why?
ok..so it's normal don't have these on 2.0? why when i upgrade without wipe i had this shortcut and the shutdown button and after the wipe-->upgrade 2.0 i lost these?
The distinction between the first upgrade from v1.0.8 to 2.0.0 was you performed the software update over top of an existing installation which included those icons, and after the device wipe (security wipe) and software reload only those components part of 2.0.0 were installed. This is conjecture because all my upgrades were in-place rather than wipes and reloads but it make senses.
So then, what is the solution for the OP? Is there a way for him to get these missing icons back?
There is no need for the buggy power off app, much quicker to use the battery icon. For the web mail shortcuts, just use the browser and then save the bookmarks to the home screen.

I've used and tested the "buggy" power off app too many times to count; so far, it gets a clean bill of health from me...no bugs, no issues, no problems.

Are you sure? AFAIK, the Standby option always restarted the PB from the day they added this option.
