Has anyone else noticed that since the upgrade to 2.1, it sometimes takes a few taps on a link or button before the PB responds? It doesn't happen all the time, but still frequently.

    Thanks

It seems to take a more deliberate press then before. It may be my imagination but with every update the touch "feels" a bit different. I'm curious if there really are changes.

Yea I press a link and nothing happens. Then I press it like I mean it and then it works. This new update requires enthusiasm it seems.

    Never. Maybe it's my imagination.

Not your imagination, I've noticed this even before 2.1 and I hope this isn't a situation where we're all learning at around the same time of a flaw in the touch screen sensor hardware that takes a year or so to show itself. I've seen that happen with phones, where a crop of failed sensor complaints all started appearing on support forums about 16 months after the phone was released.

Seems hit or miss here, like always.

I've noticed it, too. Also seems to be harder to hit the right spot when there are multiple links close together.

I have definitely noticed it, it's pretty frustrating especially compared to my iPad 2 which is fast, smooth and responsive. I have pretty much relegated my playbook as a nightstand drawer device that I use to listen to slacker and check e-mail on.

I always thought that my lack of patience. Tap, nothing happens, tap, nothing happens, tap, nothing happens. Finally three new windows open. I don't think it's new to 2.1 though.

I have been noticing it, too. I wonder if there's more going on in the background so that the pb's screen does not have as much priority. So it is missing our taps as it does something else in the background.

I have noticed that sometimes i have to long touch a link and then touch open link from the small menu that appears. A little frustrating sometimes! But workable.

Yes...I agree. Screen is less responsive. Not as sensitive as before upgrade. It seems that after every upgrade there are many setbacks. I love my playbook but I am starting to wonder if I should change my username here on crackberry????

I took off my screen protector and playbook looks better than ever. It runs so smooth and touch sensitivity is not a problem. Don't even know why I installed the the screen protector when I already had the strong ballistic case.

At times mine is over-sensitive. When scrolling through lists or around pages I'm forever opening stuff I didn't mean to. The only bit that gives me grief is the very top left back arrow needs more enthusiasm sometimes. Oh and the mail reader refresh circle usually needs a double thump.
