The title pretty much says it all. I opened a new purchase from Amazon and it worked fine. I changed the orientation of the PB to portrait and the book didn't change. I checked to be sure the orientation wasn't locked. It wasn't. The problem now exists for all the books in the Kindle app. Everything else is fine. I've rebooted and that hasn't helped. The problem does not occur in other readers. Does anyone have an idea what's going on? Thanks.

Just for clarity - is this the Kindle Android app you are talking about?

Sounds like you may want to delete and re-load the kindle app or send them a service question from their site.

On the kindle app itself at the bottom right hand corner, you can actually lock / unlock the orientation of the screen.

@F2 Yup. It's the sideloadrd Android apps.

@Zach. I'll probably end up. Reinstalling it. Given that it's sideloaded I doubt there's any point in asking Amazon.

My kindle app still switches to portrait view when I am in. It just takes 5 seconds more than other apps.

For some reason mine crashes after the first use. I install it and it worked fine. Then the next time I launched it it crashes.
