After lots of research and contemplating I've finally ordered a 64gb PlayBook for 130 from a major UK retailer. I wasn't prepared to spend 400+ on an Ipad and looking at the budget tablets available for a similar price none could compare to the spec. and finish of the PB. Just need to get a case and a fast charger and I'll be set up I admit to having an Android phone but I also have a BB Curve for work purposes so I'm not exactly coming over from the darkside Anyway looking forward to when it arrives Monday and who knows, perhaps OS 2.1 will be here by then, but of course that's another thing....
Well 3 out of 4 replies were positive, I had a Windows 7 Tablet so trust me I know what tablet frustration can be like and from my play with the PB at the retailers it is no way near as bad as Win 7
Yes, welcome and congratulations on yor new PB. I love mine and my husband scarcely lets his out of his hands - but that's because he's been playing The Bard's Tale. . (Apparently it's a very addicting game!)
Not a smart choice. The playbook is an frustrating device with not soo many positives. It's priced that way for a reason.
Now why would you want to PP all over this persons excellent not perfect purchase that's just MEEN MAN.
Btw are you having specific issues with your pb?
OR DOES IT JUST SUCK?
If its the former then use this forum as a tool to get ur unit running right.
If its the latter then find something that works for you.
OP welcome to cb nation.
Enjoy your pb pretty sure you will be happy with it

You don't do a lot of shopping do you? Had I known about the Playbook price drop, I would not have bother with my Kobo or Ipod touch. Both could get me 3 64G Playbooks!!
Best value on the market. Bought mine 6 months ago and have enjoyed every minute of it. Great form factor, flexible, clever UI and more than enough Apps. You can barely go out to dinner for the price. Jump and you will be happy.
Congratulations and welcome aboard, we've been expecting you.
I suggest you register for and download the 2.1 beta. It's stable with portrait email and separate windows for Android player. I've been running it since it dropped and loving it...If you're comfortable with betas then I highly recommend it.
