    Default Just a quick question

Can you use your regular car charger for your phone for the playbook when in the car without any issues. I see posts on not using the playbook charger for your phone but was wondering about the car?? Or is there another one needed? Thanks in advance.

Not sure which car charger you use, but I have no issues with my Motorola car charger on the 9860, 9900 and Playbook.

It will work, it'll just be slow. Playbook charger puts out more current than a standard bb charger.

I have a dodgy Chinese bb car charger for my phone. It seems to charge it slower. I may buy an OE bb car charger as I don't want to ruin my phone.

It must always be best to use the proper charger for the correct device.

I understand your concern and interest, but there are a horde of threads on this. Maybe a quick forum search will answer all your questions.

With all the small electronic devices, each with its own car charger, I thought a small 12 volt inverter would be better. I bought Power Gear 12 volt to 115 volt AC adapter that plugs into my lighter socket in my car. The output is 115 volts AC, 60Hz and 90 Watts max. It has one 110 volt outlet. I just carry my regular charger cables with me and plug them in whenever they need charging. Works great.
