Sorry if this is easily answered somewhere. i did a search and couldnt find anything clear and time isnt really on my side right now.

Im helping a friend set up her pb later tonight and i need to know if i can install that first update using desktop manager. i know at launch you couldnt but i know there have been updates to dm since.

if no, we have a wifi connection available but its one where you have to go into a browser and click "login" before you can actually use the connection.

are either of these methods gonna work for us?

I set up my PlayBook @ Starbucks where you have to click to log in- there is a little window where you can click to log in on the wifi settings menu.
