I bought a playbook just after Christmas and simply love it. I then decided to upgrade for the first time to a smart phone and a bought a Blackberry Bold a couple of weeks ago. it simply is a great companion to my PB. Here's the issue. I have never been a good typist to begin with and thumb typing is a totally new experience. I don't I'll ever be a speed demon with it, but folks, there's got to be s better way to learn how to do it other than type, backspace, backspace again, type, backspace.....I'm sure you get my drift. I can hardly wait for OS 2.0 and an autocorrect feature. Until then, is there s neat program, app, link that can help?
Are you having trouble typing on the Playbook or on your Bold? I have not had much problem typing on my Playbook. The Bold is a different matter. I'm getting better on my Bold (I upgraded from a Storm2 about three weeks ago), but it can be a challenge sometimes.
mostly on the playbook as I use it more. It still is fun but thought there may be something such as a typing tutor, given that there are no obvious reference points on the playbook. I guess this really is a case of practice making perfect.
Under Options - Typing and Language - Typing you can change from Direct to Predictive - should give you auto predict like typing (Bold - not Playbook).

I have extreme trouble typing on my playbook. I have had it for 8 months. Hopefully OS2 will help.
I'm definitely with you on the update! Me and a lot more people I suppose. Only a few working days until the end of month so the update should be pretty soon now.
