Much better gift to give your employees than a store coupon for a turkey or ham.

Do these Ikea PlayBooks require assembly?

haha. A couple of years ago, IKEA donated one full day's profit towards each of their staff. They got about $1,500 each. Then recently they split $80m amongst their 40,000 staff worldwide. $2,000 thank you.
They have a history of looking after their staff. One store in Sweden gives their staff BMW's to drive for as long as they work there. A Playbook (whilst nice) is not the same as getting a $2,000 bonus. You could buy 20 Playbooks with that.
Although, I guess they don't have to give anything.... so beggars can't be choosers.I sent the club a wire stating "Please accept my resignation. I don't want to belong to any club that will accept me as a member." - Groucho Marx

Chuckle... Who says they're getting PlayBooks instead of bonuses? Oh, That would be you.
$ 2000.00 bonuses huh? You're right, Ikea is being horribly stingy when they typically hand this out every year! Bloody Swedish Scrooges, they can afford a Mercedes for every flat-pack warehouse stocker, but only give them a lousy tablet! I hope the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Yet To Come descend on Ikea upper management and turn them around on Christmas Eve, so the Cratchitts won't have to bridge to their outdated Curves to pull in a little wireless Christmas Cheer.
Maybe they're getting a cash bonus as well as an electronic perk, mmmmmaybe? Nah, that wouldn't be it.
