    Ive rebooted it a couple times, no sound out of the speakers or when i plug it into a stereo.. I have no idea whats going on

    the latest one. And no, sound doesnt work out of anything. Was working fine, plugged into my truck, i unplugged the audio cord and now there is no sound out of anything

    Is there anything lodged in the port? it sounds like something is shorting to ground making it think that there is a headphone jack connected... Maybe a piece of the chrome plating from the headphone pin.

    My PB had this problem, it was fixed by Blackberry. The whole process was quick and easy, I had it back in a week.

    did you try replugging and unplugging again?
    On old PCs sometimes the detector inside the earplug may not trip, and so the machine still "believes" the earplugs are there, so it just cut the loudspeakers...

    You might also try plugging in headphones again, and remove. Try that a few more times.

    Play music as you do so.
