You must have selectively and intentionally edited out of your mind the part of my post that said there are thousands of threads just like this one, spawned by perhaps a dozen or so of the same ususal suspects, or their aliases. Again, it goes to research...do it well, and one will find no need to start yet another what's wrong with the PlayBook thread; comprende Kimosabe?

If anyone needs a new one: my 64GB in mint condition -3 months old is on ebay until Friday at 4pm EST with a rapid charger and clip case free.
I love my 9900, but can't continue to carry TWO tablets anymore to get done what I need done..Life is too short to spend time messing with Windows Computers, and any phone but a Blackberry.
Apple Computers and Blackberrys never let you down. - 05-30-2012, 02:47 PM #32
$50.00. PM me where to send the money after you send and I receive the PlayBook. Hurry now, before I spend my money somewhere else.

I love my PlayBook but I wish I had 2 more of them!

I like my Playbook, but the infancy stage of its OS is taking way way too long.
After more than a year after release and 1.5 years since announcement, it still lacks so many elementary features and functionality. Such as support for background services/notifications, basic browser functionality (not even bookmark management
), decent file manager, etc.
Third party developer support is horrible. Most popular apps are nowhere to be found (some can be emulated (!) though). Even apps that are present don't get much attention from their developers. Adobe Reader and other productivity apps are a good example.
Unfortunately, the proverbial "tools, not toys" and "professional-grade" do not apply to the Playbook at all.
I hope things will change, but based on past performance and the info that is available as of now, I don't envision any significant changes any time soon. - 05-30-2012, 04:14 PM #36
I wish I had a second one which could fit in my pocket!

I love my Playbook, but it is a high maintenance device compared to iPad and Xoom which I also both own.

I love my Playbook, but...
Browser:
1) What is with the browser? There are some pages that just won't load. Many of the pages that do load show the "checkerboard" when I try scrolling down the page. It also won't play the web version of Pandora.
2) I can't organize my bookmarks in the browser. That's intolerable!
3) No way to stream music from websites
4) Browser History - can't "multi-select" items - have to delete one by one or clear "all"
5) Private Browsing invariably ends up locking up entire browser causing the need to reboot the PlayBook (arrggg!) to reset
Messaging App:
1) Can't create folders for moving/saving e-mails (again...intolerable)
Bluetooth
1) Connecting a bluetooth mouse works fairly well, except when it doesn't. When it doesn't, I have to reboot the PlayBook (arrrggg!)
2) Connecting a bluetooth keyboard is aggravating. Most of the time it takes 2 or 3 attempts and then after about 10 minutes it disconnects.
3) Forced to use bluetooth to connect keyboard & mouse. I didn't realize it would only allow 2 bluetooth connections, so I can't use a keyboard & mouse AND connect to my bluetooth speakers at the same time.
4) When bluetooth mouse is connected, you can't fling/slide the screen up/down using the mouse when in the browser, you must use the scroll wheel or the up/down arrows of the keyboard. The scroll wheel works terribly...when scrolling down, the screen will actually scroll up sometimes.
HDMI
1) Works great when it's working. I've had to return 2 units (so far) because the HDMI output stopped working
Please don't get me wrong, I put this info out there for the people who are researching buying a PlayBook. There's a lot of "fanboys" on this site that seem to jump on people whenever they complain about anything to do with the Playbook. The Playbook has some issues that are legitemet concerns to discuss. I don't think most of these items will be addressed in the 2.1 update, and I doubt seriously if there will be anymore updates after 2.1.
I bought this tablet due to the fact that the Asus M370T is being redesigned and has been pushed back at least until the end of June. Once it comes out, I will most likely dump/sell/give away the Playbook and switch to it. Tegra 3 chipset and ICS will blow this tablet away. - 06-01-2012, 10:16 AM #42
If that's the case, let me be the first to say goodbye and good luck with your Asus. Let me help you to make this transition from BlackBerry to Asus a less then 5 minute event...go to www.transfomerforums.com

i agree. I haven't used my Playbook in weeks. After 3 months of use, the novelty has definitely worn off. Sometimes its a headache to use. When I do use it, its for a quick google search or to play Words/Scramble with Friends
