I found a new swipe gesture...maybe.
I may be late to this party but I was just playing around with the bezel gestures and I discovered that you can close a folder on the homescreen without pressing the X.
Similar to swiping up or down, swipe diagonally to close.
If been using the X all this time, not that this is something special but it neat. Are you a foodie? Do you like to cook? I prefer the diagonal swipe as well. It was introduced late into the game after the android player had been established. Guess they realized it was a good gesture, haha. Interestingly enough, you don't even have to go diagonal. You can just swipe left just above the blackberry logo at the bottom of the screen. Definitely an awesome feature

I haven't used the diagonal swipe, but have been using a horinzontal swipe on the bottom bezel for a while now after someone else posted it. I like the horizontal action!

I have one android sideloaded app that requires you to do the diagonal swipe to go back to the prior screen.

Also, try this in a folder: In the folder title bar, swipe left or right. The folder title follows in that direction then the folder closes. I like to grab the actual "Title" and do a quick swipe right/left, but you can use anywhere along the bar. Try it really slow like you are dragging/dropping the folder title and you'll get an idea of how far you need to swipe.

If you hold your Playbook above your head, screen facing down and shake it back and forth, it arranges all your icons and folders alphabetically.

I am always trying to use this gesture in the browser, just hoping that it will magically start working to go back a Page.

Correct. Left OR right, either direction. I think I said that?

I always found the swiping gesture for back in Android apps and to close the folder to be quite intuitive. I wish that native apps could do likewise.

That reminded me of the Etch-A-Sketch.
I was going to try it but was afraid it would delete everything.

Another cool gesture, is swiping up from the title on the bottom of a minimized app. It's like flinging it away.
