I didn't mind this PlayBook Commercial
Hopefully Frank has a good campaign and good messaging in the works for BlackBerry 10. Everything about the original PlayBook launch seemed like the epitome of what happens when engineers who don't know about marketing a product are in charge of a marketing launch. From the "flash" and "multitasking" commercials, to the high pricing based upon technical components, to stuffing the channel without a retail plan, to price cuts without promotion to let the world know about the price cuts.
It's really a shame. Imagine what would have happened if they waited 6 months, launched with 2.0, lowered the launch price to $399 or $349 and had benefit oriented commercials. Maybe there'd be six million of us by now ... and new tablets in the pipe.

That one has been around for a while now.
Great commercial. Wish stuff like this got more mainstream air play (especially during prime time.) - 10-30-2012, 07:02 PM #5

That ad really nails it, almost brings a tear to my eye. Both for the sentiment and the BlackBerry stuff. RC's comments are also spot on. They had the killer product but stumbled on the way to market. IMO, they were too used to the carrier doing all the promotion for their new devices. The PlayBook was definitely more unknown than disliked.
They really need to go all out on marketing for The 10.one of these days see me drivin' round town in my rock 'n' rolls Royce with the sun roof down

Yes you would want to rely on the qnx micro kernel for such an important thing. It will not fail you.

Re: I didn't mind this PlayBook Commercial
Just goes to show how bad RIM is at marketing. This is old guys. Promo material for 2.0.
And yet, some of you didn't even know about it. Can't blame you. I only know about it because I actively search for BlackBerry stuff. It didn't air here in Brasil either.
I'll. Work on a comparison between the four big platforms... We just started getting W8/WP8 ads on TV here.
