Just heads up that the official HP Wireless keyboard for the now defunct Touchpad works with the PlayBook.

For those looking for a bargain you should be able to find it cheap on clearance. I picked one up at Staples (Canada) for $35, other Canadian retailers should be able to price match this and for the US people Im sure some places have reduced the price as well.

Typing on it is great, I like the way the keys are spaced apart. Its a larger size than the official (the official is the same size as the PB). See pic for what I mean.

That might be getting into the realm of defeating the purpose of the size/form-factor of the PlayBook, though...which is the reasoning behind the dimensions on the 'official'...

So, I'm curious...what would the perks/advantages be over a regular/full-size bluetooth keyboard (assuming portability isn't much of a factor)?

I can't confirm or deny what summer year it will be. But reliable sources from BGR have me told a summer time frame.

Is it the same size as an Apple aluminum keyboard? Looks the same almost, except for the colour and the roll where you put the batteries.

If you want this take a look at FS. They have it listed at $34.99. No Online stock, but if you order for ISP, use promo code SAVE25TABLETACC. Brought mine down to $30.10 (tax in).

Any chance the cursor navigation keys actually show any sign of "auto-repeat" functionality? Are there any home/end type of keys to go with basic up/down?

I have the MS BT keyboard and while it's quite nice as far as it goes, I find it useless with the PlayBook other than for pure, basic text entry, so long as I make no mistakes that I need to fix with anything other than a couple of Backspaces. Not sure yet if that's the fault of the KB or the PB.
