When I had an iPad 2 I did not find the speaker to be that great. Same goes for the Macbook pro and iPhone 4. However on my Bold 9900 the music is clear and produces a good sound.
My question is, does the Playbook have that same speaker quality?
PlayBook has two front facing speakers. They are pretty amazing for a tablet. Better than my netbook and ty laptop, although not as good as my old Toshiba laptop with the Harmon Kardon speakers (obviously)
I would concur with the sentiments of everyone on this thread. No need to cup your hand on the bottom of the ipad/ipod/iphone in order to hear something without headphones.
Great sounding speakers. I used to hook up external speakers to my 9800 to play sleep music. Now, I just play directly from my Playbook. The sound is much richer ans less tinny than my external spakers were.
Speakers are great on the PB. I am paraphrasing slightly the comments of spencerdl above; speakers on the PB are in a class of their own. I bought my PB as mostly an .mp3 player so the speakers are huge plus for me.
