Not true. You can mirror pretty much anything on your Playbook.

Pity. It would have been nice if it was possible. I really enjoy miracasting Netflix to my TV, so I thought why not to try a PlayBook.

You can have a movie on your playbook and have it play on your TV, I have done it many times

Wasn't there an option or an app, or a website that allowed you to flawlessly watch Netflix, hull and hbo on the playbook from the browser?

Playon? It needs an annual subscription. It apparently works, but for me it's not a solution to have to pay an annual subscription to watch another subscription based service on my tablet.

Not sure if it will work but have you tried doing a BBM video call between the PlayBook and your Z30 and then tried the screen share option on the Z30? I know you can video call between the two devices, just not sure if screen share will work :s

There's an ugly way to do this.

It would require a PC, you would need to be on the same wifi network, and if the person holding the PlayBook is also the one using the phone, they'll need a bluetooth keyboard and mouse.

First, get the image/sound to your PC somehow. Use a wifi card and some software to make your PC act as a miracast receiver or a TV tuner card. This gets the image to the PC

Next, use Splashtop on the PC and connect to it from the PlayBook. Make the PC display the video from the phone in full screen.

You have just spent an excessive amount of effort, possibly money, and time doing what a 7 inch portable TV with HDMI input support could have done while being... actually portable.

But yes, it's "possible" to make that happen.
