How many apps do you have?
Swipe top corner, tap sprocket, at the top goto about, general tab. (you can do all this while currently using any app aswell)
How many apps do you have on your playbook?
I have 168. Do I need more? No. Do I want more games? Yes.
Since I know I'll get the typical
responses I'll add these rhetorical questions. To all of those who don't think the PB has enough apps you obviouly used the other platforms, wouldn't it make sense to stick with them since they seem to meet your needs? Do you think whinning on a non-RIM site is going to produce any results? Do you think you add anything valuable or constructive to this forum? If the PB is so bad why not move on? If you feel like you've been waiting forever why not take the initiative and find something that better suits your needs?
I feel like RIM has barely scratched the surface with the PB, I'll continue to be happy using my PB and will welcome any additions. In my opinion this is hands down the best tablet own the market and has no equal, and I got it for a fraction of the cost compared to the competition. Its only going to get better, and I have a feeling a lot better.BB10: possibly the most disruptive innovation in tech we've yet to see.
RIM is on their way to 'coming-back', although I don't see it as a comeback. I see it as RIM going through a well-managed transition.- hurds (11/4/12) reply: "one of the craziest, most delusional fanboy statements I've ever seen on the Internet. complaints -> recognized and shared by others -> fed back to RIM for improvement
without this cycle, how can PB be improved, especially when there are still many things lacking on PB in current state. Why do some people here always use "whine" when people make legitimate complaints?
To me the number of Apps isn't important. I just want all the features PB comes with function as designed, including built-in apps. OS 2.0 was a great step forward, with much needed PIM application, but it still has a lot of little issues here and there, that are difficult to see unless you own one. - 04-16-2012, 08:31 AM #12
I have 156. I'd say that about 25-40 of them are for business / productivity. The majority is in the game / entertainment category.

I have 118, about to delete a couple of non-used apps. They have been there since May with little/no use at all

I have 78, which I bought to try them. However, most are useless. I only use 4 or 5 of them.

The real question is how many apps do you USE? As in USE regularly not try a couple of times and then lose interest. I do not think the people with hundreds of apps use them all, maybe just downloaded them and tried them, them will say they use them to stroke the ego. I have maybe 10 apps I use regularly from downloads...used for business mostly plus a different browser. Others (maybe 20) just take up space for the occasional use like a game when I am delayed between flights.

Good points. If someone has the time to really use 100+ apps then God bless him. I for one have to look out for 3 little ones, so yes my schedule is tight. Do I think that there's room for improvement? Of course I do. I would love to see those big 5 apps and maybe a few more on the PB.

For most it will show more then the icons you count. I think the number was 46. There was a thread about it recently and Peter explain the reason but I don't recall the thread title.
