Hdmi cable for Playbook?
I want to order one from Monoprice but I only see 6'.
Unless I am looking in wrong section - do find this long enough? I don't think it would be for me from where i usually lounge to control Playbook to where the tv sits

I have about a 12 ft. standard HDMI cable that I use along with a standard to mico hdmi adapter. That way I can use it with my PB and also standard HDMI devices.

You could use a bluetooth mouse and a shorter cable. That way you wouldn't have cables laying across the room either.

In case you feel you would be too far from the Playbook to see to use the mouse, what you see on the Playbook is what you see on screen, so you'd be ok.

Although appreciate a mouse would cost a bit more but would also be useful at other times too! Just an alternative suggestion ...

The price was so cheap on monoprice that I bought a 6footer and the 15 footer. I left the long one in a hotel room once and I think it cost me more for them to FedEx it than it would have to buy a new one...

My longest one for the Playbook is 15 feet and I paid just a few dollars for it off of Amazon. It's hdmi to micro hdmi so no adapter needed. Best couple dollars I ever spent.

I ordered mine from Amazon. It's a total of 15 feet in length. Made by Cable Matters. I love it. Works flawlessly. Think I paid around $12 for it.

Well I have a 6ft. I used the remote from the handset in order to navigate. I don't really see the need for longer. I may be wrong, but I think that the longer the cable, it will drain the PB power and the signal will degrade somewhat once you go over 7ft. Again, I may be wrong.

I have ordered a load from Amazon (cos naughty colleagues keep on pinching mine....) - I think the longest one I have in my briefcase is 4-5 metres

Warning: One client has 'hard-wired' with a wall socket, a long HDMI cable run up to a ceiling mounted projector - assume the total length of cabling is over 10m - IT DOESN'T WORK!! Assume this is because the total cable length is too long (if you stand on the conference room table and plug an ordinary HDMI cable into the projector it works fine - and the techie chaps have tested with a cable tester and say the wire does not have any breaks - ergo assumption is that there is a limit to the length of an HDMI cable re: signal degradation)
