how the heck do you delete pete yorn?
(sorry not a big fan) i dont see a way to delete music directly off the pb and i cant find him in any of the folders when i hook it up to the computer. i see how to delete pictures off the pb by swiping down but when i do that in the music app it only lets me add songs to a playlist. what am i missing?

I'm not sure if this thread is dead but i couldn't find one where someone successfully deleted this song. Using AIR Browser I was able to browse to the music file and delete the song. Hopefully this helps the next guy searching the forums.

Pete is in the same category as the HD video sample. It's in a folder protected by the OS that is automatically included when you bring up the music app (Pete) or video app (HD whales). These folders are not available to view in any of the file browsers.
People were complaining that after a wipe/restore of their Playbook, the HD video became unavailable. This is because the wipe removed the remnants of the original OS installation and the video was not part of the later updates. That's why they put a version of the video for download in the App Store.
I'm not sure if Pete is included in subsequent updates. If not, then a wipe is the only way to get rid of him. Otherwise, be prepared every time you set your music app to shuffle! :PWhy is it that when your contract commitment is up, the phone you always wanted is now old and the phone you now want won't be out until the next quarter?

Excuse me, I'm making perfect sense. You're just not keeping up.

A security wipe will delete Pete Yorn and the demo video. Just back up everything but media, then restore.
