I got my BlackBerry PlayBook last spring in 2015, and I love it. But I was wondering if there was any way for me to get or download movies on it? I've been looking around, and found some software to get rid of the drm protection off of the movie but it still couldn't copy onto the PlayBook.. any suggestions on to how I need to do it or is there any other way for me to get movies on to my PlayBook.

I have been able to convert dvds to mp4 format, then copy the mp4 to my SD card on the PC. Once copied, I return the SD card to the PlayBook. As long as the movie isn't copy protected, this works well. Good luck.

How, exactly, do you return an SD card to your Playbook, considering that the Playbook doesn't have a card slot?

Maybe he has a playbook with the otg software release and is using a USB SD card adapter. That's the only explanation

The only Playbooks with OTG capability that I'm aware of were rooted Playbooks running OS 1. How many of those are still running around?

Probably very very very few if any. But it's the only explanation.

My playbook running OS2 has OTG capabilities. I load it into its protective case, throw it into my bag and then leave.

There are several DVD rippers available for PC. I use Freemake Video Converter as it has presets for MP4 on .the Playbook. Read the installer steps carefully as it wants to put a few extras on by default. Once you've got your MP4s then transfer then either by cable or WIFI.

You can get portable servers that the Playbook can connect to by WIFI if you travel- Buffalo MiniStation Air
