Does BlackBerry bridge work, or do I need to use USB?

You can transfer over wifi. Install ES File Explorer on your Priv, which can access your PB over wifi and will allow you to copy files on your PB and paste them on your Priv.

I vote for the simple WiFi file transfer app called Dukto. Put the version 5 Playbook version (must sideload it tho) on your Playbook and the Google play android version on your Priv.

Use the USB like Booker said. That way you'll have a copy on your PC.

On the PB, turn on File sharing over WiFi...

On your phone, Install Open Explorer from BlackBerry World and ensure its connected to the same WiFi AP. You should then be able to connect to your "PB server" and simply pull your files across.
    Simples.

If that's route you choose, it's probably easier to use Ghost Commander, which is a free dual panel file manager in app world. You can access your PB by tapping Windows Share from the homescreen and then inputting your PB's ip address in the pop up window (under server).
