There is a new content option called "Reader Mode" on the web browser. Once you turn this mode on you can access it on the top right corner of the web page, it is a little booklet icon. This mode basically scales down articles from content filled websites into a simple page with just the article like on blackberry news app. I love this new feature, I think it separates the browser a bit from other platforms. What does everybody else think about this mode?
ya i agree with all the others. I use my pb quite a lot to read, esp quick wiki or medical articles. Always wanted that double click - fit to window function, like on the phones, but this seems like itll be even better

The PB does have the double tap fit to widow feature. In regard to this new "reader" feature, I recall that RIM applied for a patent that allowed content to be given first priority when downloading. Perhaps this new feature is related to that patent somehow.
My Kindle wifi/3G already has the same feature on its browser. From the local newspaper's home page, I can click on a story, then -- from the menu -- select to read the story as a simple text article without the ads and pictures. This is really useful.
How are you connecting to the wifi? I cannot connect with this beta build?
I had a problem too with one of my routers. One worked so I went to the one that didn't and changed the security, it failed, re-entered the correct security type and password and it worked
I have the latest beta OS2.0 on my playbook, but I don't have that "Reader Mode" in my browser settings. How can I have that activated?
Thanks!
It's now on the upper left corner of the browser (book icon). You don't have any option to enable/disable it.
P.S: the page must be fully loaded before it appears.
