| | How big is OS2.0??
Any guess as to how much memory OS2.0 will occupy?
I have a 16G PB but only have 2.6 free space. I have 2G of data and the rest are apps.
Do I need to start deleting all the large paid games to make room for the upgrade?

Nobody knows this for sure.
If you intend on using the native e-mail, calendar & contacts - these apps will need to cache your mailbox contents locally, so this will also take up space beyond the new OS itself. I doubt the new OS will be substantially larger, though I'd run through your apps list & remove what you don't really use...

I will guess 500MB-1GB.
I think RIM wouldn't make it too big in size, for the people who only have 16GB to use.

It will replace the OS/system files already there with all new ones. Kinda like iOS used to be, every update is a complete OS update package, not just a rolling update.
From what I can tell, the beta's took up less space than 1.0.8. After installing the beta's I always had more space left over.

Also keep in mind that you'll need enough space to hold the compressed OS download as well as the OS once ot's unzipped. After that, the download gets deleted, but you'll need the space.
If you delete some of the large games, you can always reinstall them after you upgrade.

exactly. the bb app world makes it very easy to reinstall games... just make sure that your saved games wont get deleted (im not sure if they will, i havent tried)
but the betas were around 500 to 750 mb so that may be a fair estimate

I'm starting fresh all data, all games, deleted gone, adios. I want this upgrade to feel like I bought a new tablet. I do hope in the near future someone will find a way to shrink the OS like alot of us do with our phones. Things like help, wallpapers and others I don't need as well as the extra languages, dod certificates etc.
