I want to watch past episodes of Dexter. Can I use Hotspot Sheild on my playbook in Canada, to see SHowtimes website in the states, like HBOGO. I have
a subscription to a provider in the USA with Showtime as part of the subscription. I just need to spoof a US IP address. Or how else can I get Dexter season 4 in Canada for cheap?

Also interested to use BBC iplayer abroad. Hidemyass wants $60/year to get the version that works with TV although I have not yet tried the basic free version. Hotspot Shield/Expat Shield are free. Any other suggestions??

As far as the Playbook browser is concerned, I don't think you can download any kind of proxy browser. However, you can set up VPN access on your Playbook. Might have to subscribe. You might be able to setup a VPN server on your desktop while having a. Proxy browser open (haven't tried it yet)
As far as desktop is concerned, you can download Ultrasurf 12.0. You can access Hulu.com and no Ads like hotspot sheild.

    Cheers.

Tablet TV is your only choice because using a proxy is not practical due to speed limitations and bandwidth limitations.

I've also heard recently about UnoDNS™ - Watch Netflix USA, Hulu, Pandora, BBC iPlayer, and more in anywhere you live! that has a free trial I've been thinking about trying. I used to use hidemyass to get the US Netflix on my computer but I never really found any movies on there that were to my taste anymore than were on the Canadian Netflix. Give it a shot, the free trial will tell you one way or another.

I'm currently using VPN with vpnreactor, which is PlayBook friendly. It works pretty good. If only the PlayBook flash player could handle better dynamic bitrate change.

Has anybody been able to VPN via hidemyass? They have the best value and a lot more VPN servers across the world.

I tried to install hotspot shield on my playbook and couldn't get it to install it. How does the free version of hidemyass work? Is there anything to install?

I downloaded Ultrasurf on the playbook and unzip it and cannot find the file anywhere. The free version of hidwmyass doesn't allow tv. The playbook doesn't seem to support expat shield.
