Highlighting and underlining points in text docs?
I am hoping somebody out there can give me some info on this. I am a fairly new to PB. Since BB is geared toward buisiness, it seems like there should be an app for this.
I need to be able to highlight key points (or underline) in text (or PDF) documents. Since the Adobe app on PB is only a reader, it doesn't allow for this. I have downloaded Jotsy, but can't figure out how to use it as there are no intructions and I even doubt Jotsy will do this.
Is there anyone out there who knows what app will do this or if Jotsy will do it, how?
Also, is there a way to open more than one PDF document at the same time? When I open a PDF, then attempt another, it closes the first one and opens a new one. I really would like the ability to have two opened at the same time to quickly reference back and forth from one to the other.
Thanks - 04-10-2012, 11:45 AM #2
It's called PDF annotations, and no, there is not native Playbook app for this, the closest thing is qPDF which is an Android app which can be purchased in AppWorld.
And for something as simple as opening multiple PDFs, there's nothing either, other than using multiple different programs.
It's a pretty big hole in usability for many users right now. - 04-10-2012, 03:23 PM

I found qPDF in Appworld, thanks. If it works, it will be well worth the 10 bucks to buy it. I am guessing that maybe if I get it, I could not only use it to annotate, but use it to open a document simultaneous to having a document open with adobe which would fill my need to have two documents open.

That's what the link I posted is about, friendo. All he has to do, really, is install the PC software. For more info, here's a guide: http://034ae8f.netsolhost.com/Jotsy/...User-Guide.pdf
Only issue I found was: If you're behind a proxy (like I was, since I like to show the Video Store to poeple), Jotsy will not be able to find the PC's IP. Drop the proxy on the PB and it works like a charm.Last edited by diegonei; 04-10-2012 at 08:40 PM.
