I have been trying to connect to the university's wifi with no success. I talked with the IT person (very small school) and he initially told me that blackberries couldn't connect. I did some searching around the internet for settings info and found the ones below. I went back with my playbook and showed him the settings; he said they should work. He said that the university does not use security certificates. When I try to connect, my playbook acts like it is trying and trying but then times out. Please help!

    SSID: UMW-Wireless
    Securtiy type: WPA2 Enterprise
    Security sub type: PEAP
    Inner Link security: MSCHAPv2
    Username: my login
    Password: my password
    CA certificate: none selected
    VPN profiles: none selected
    Band type: dual band
Automatically obtain Ip address - checked
    Enable IPv6 - unchecked
    Use HTTP Proxy - unchecked
Allow inter-access point handover - checked

Have you tried changing the band type setting from dual to 2.4?

I had a problem back on OS 1.8XX with numerous routers that I could only connect with the 2.4 setting.

It's a long shot but it may help.
