Help please!!! The official mini KB is great but the case is really horrible! Mine doesn't fit right and the section on top is not flush where the buttons are and the rear camera hole is offset..... whole thing just looks and feels cheap.... is there a 3rd party company that does an alternative keyboard case (case only) at all???

I too have wondered this.
I have no issues with the case, but having the keyboard since its launch in the UK in April the elastic is becoming very weak...In fact the elastic has always been rubbish.

I'm not sure why they did not use a "securing" that is similar to the one used for the pb - the wrap-around frame. Too much additional weight? Too expensive?

Sounds like the OP got a bad case if it is the OEM mini keyboard and PB case, and should just be returning it for replacement. Mine fits perfectly, buttons flush and rear camera centered. Haven't had a problem with the elastic corner strapping for the keyboard either, but I never take it out. But agree, something else would probably be too much weight. I have also never used the elastic strapping along the back to keep the case closed, haven't needed that.

Felt the same till went out and bought velcro....careful cutting and placement works perfectly...cut off the saggy elastic loops and all is well!

I would agree that the OP seems to have gotten a dud. Other than the elastics it works great.

Agree. Must be a bad case because mine is not offset like that.

I have the BlackBerry OEM Bluetooth Mini-Keyboard and Convertible Case and aside from the elastic keyboard corner straps this case and keyboard are very well designed and constructed. Rubber corner holders for the keyboard would have been a more durable way to secure the keyboard without adding bulk and weight. The top power button and volume up/down buttons are function smoothly in the case.

If you got yours from RIM they are pretty good about making things right on repairs and replacements. After posting this I hope some doesn't post behind me about his terrible experience with RIM.

Back on track.... I might cut the elastic retainer off, as I don't use it any more once I realised it was becoming weak and floppy. Its a shame that there is no replacement available from an OEM maker or RIM that is a better alternative

Mine fits well too, no alignment issues. I do agree the elastic appears a little weak, as though it will wear quickly, but it's an easy fix and am happy with the case so far.
