Are you willing to share the sites where the videos fail to play so others may test?

If the link, animal.dicovery.com, is giving you problems, I'm sorry but it plays at least two of the videos, "Cute Kittens" and "Gator Boys" episodes with no problems. You do have to wade through advertisements and wait for slow load of the videos but they do seem to work for me. I have both flash and java turned on in PB 64 on latest OS 2.x.

Check that javascript is turned on.

Hey Lou,
I'm with T of Now: I clicked your link and the video played just fine on my PB. So we know its not a problem with the actual PlayBook. If the suggestions above don't work, and you have installed all the PB updates, you might want to call the 1-800 #.Patrick from Calgary

Re: Help native playbook browser doesnt play embeded videos..
yup, works for me (althought the ad stuff ks horrible). similarly, all the gorillavid type stuff works, if erratically, on those sites that have lots of pop ups, but you'll spend some time sifting. the pb browser is lacking, which is unfortunate as it is brower based.

Is there a reason you have not updated to 1088?
Have you tried another browser like Simple Browser or Secure Browser?-------------------------------------------------------------

I know the Java has to be on to play some videos, I also know that big videos (size wise) or poor wifi takes either a long time to load, or will load just for a bit and then will seemingly stop. One web episode from a gaming site I look at had a special 2 hour long episode and I stop trying to load it after 15 minutes and download the video from the site and transfer that video to the PB manually. I haven't looked at the videos you are looking at, but just an FYI.
Also I read there was problems with watching videos on some websites and that there is no fix for it. I want to say one of them was Foxnews, but I forget and I stay away from Foxnews so I don't know from personal experience. Finally, the popups/ads and all that stuff that people mentioned here could very well be what is screwing up the video for you.
I would also do as jhanks says and update your system and try Simple Browser. - 12-16-2012, 10:43 PM

Re: Help native playbook browser doesnt play embeded videos..
is there an error message or is it just not loading up? also, are you bridged or connected to wifi?
Many thanks, downloads and dollars to all the developers out there!!! - 12-17-2012, 09:57 PM #16
It does seem to work on my PlayBook and though I didn't find the videos you were talking about, I was able to view the videos linked on that page.
If none of the settings you already tried are working for you (Flash on, Java on, clearing cache, etc), and you want it to work ASAP, you may want to think about wiping/debricking your PB and seeing if that helps any. - 12-17-2012, 10:46 PM
