    How can I open an xml file in documents within the file manager?

    I downloaded a zipped file I very much need to view. It unzipped as an xml file that will not open when I click on it.

    New to playbook. Thanks for any assistance rendered.

    Looks like you'll need to hunt around for a text editor written for Playbook or Android which can edit/handle XML files. Can't you have the sender convert it to another format, like txt?

    Install Ghost Commander from app world. It should allow you to open xml files.

    I tried the use of my good friend Google, but didn't find much help

    I then decided I'd take the advice of pacoman03 above me, and downloaded both GhostCommander and an example XML file. I cold open it, but probably not the way it was supposed to be opened. Yours might open correctly though, so I recommend you try.

    Ghost Commander can be found here; BlackBerry World - Ghost Commander file manager
    After you've downloaded the app, follow these steps;
    1) Navigate to the location of the XML file, inside of Ghost Commander.
    2) Press down on the file (in the right column) until you get an Operations menu pop up.
    3) Click view.

    And since you asked about the file manager, I don't think the native file manager supports XML files.

    Hope this is of at least some help
