One of the HBO sites (forget which) identified the browser as Safari with the message that if I chose to continue, content would not be displayed properly. I haven't poked around much, but is there a way to change the way the browser is identified on pb?
You canNOT change the browser identification unfortunately. Some sites have small links, barely visible, that will sometimes allow access to full sites while others totally limit you to mobile sites.
how does it work for you guys? For me, it will start to play a show/movie and then just hang shortly after it starts
I experience the same behavior. Starts out ok, then gets progressively jumpy and the sound doesn't sync then worse, to the point where it hangs also. Not very happy with the experience. So just quit trying and ended up deleting the link. I have not really found any streaming video that works well for me with the Playbook. Of course few work well with my laptop or my desktop either out here in the countryside with cable internet.
I've never been able to get it to run right. First 30 or so seconds its fine, but then it just stops and then proceeds to be jerky & no audio. I've even tried to let it buffer a few minutes, but that doesnt help either.
First few minutes works then it dies like the above. Similar results but not as bad on my laptop. Though things like Netflix and Hulu work great on my laptop so I blame HBO right now.
Works perfectly for one minute, then freezes for 3 minutes, then starts again with perfect audio but the video skips a bunch of frames, then after a few more minutes it works perfectly again., then feezes again, on and on same thing...would love to hear a solution!

Reason: forgot something
I use HBO go, the first time I tried to stream a video it was a bit choppy, but after that I am able to stream an entire movie without skipping a beat.
I had the same "stuttering" problems with HBOGO. With their price changes, we closed our NetFlix account. Now I use Amazon and YouTube, both of which stream to my Playbook and 55"HDTV (via HDMI cable) seamlessly.

Bumping this one back to the top. Anyone figure out a good solution to this problem?
I have the same issue as others: plays great for 2-3 minutes then the audio/video hangs. I've seen references to the router being the issue, but no consistent "fix."
