This was a situation limited to stock on hand, at least according to the fine print I read at different stores. So if Best Buy has raised the price, then perhaps they have already run out of stock.
It's highly doubtful the price is going up. Still $299 in today's staples Sunday ad.
Let's be real. It's not going to be a sale much longer. $299/16gb will be the MSRP price. HTC reduced their 7 inch flyer to $299 permanently after the Kindle announcement.
The Kindle at $199 will force all 7 inch Tablet manufactures to lower their prices down quickly aspt least to $299 because they have more "features" but not $100 more worth of features than the kindle fire.
lucky that I got just in time then from bestbuy yesterday, they still had a few units of the 16 and 32 left with only 1 64. i am sure one can to office depot or staples of its still out there.

I agree. Pricing is a competitive thing - and not just with the Fire. You may see temp changes like this Best Buy, but the eventual trend is to drop down a level.
