There is an extensive thread in the apps and games section about this app, with much input from the developer. And, yes, it's well worth the money, especially considering all the additional features it supplies over the stock camera app. http://forums.crackberry.com/playboo...camera-758738/

It was fun. Where I kind of documented it, I did note that for a lengthy video, you do need to provide ac power for the pb. The video was either 3 or 4 separate videos but the last sequence was over a 3 or 4 hour period. So, the pb was on the roof of my detached garage and I ran an extension cord out the garage, up to its roof for power. (I should go back to the thread Pacoman referenced, I think I mentioned being able to turn off the screen might save power but I don't recall the outcome of that)

No, I just pasted the 3 or 4 segments together and added the music. It was only happenstance that I captured it at all. I had purchased Advanced Camera and played with it a little. But while they were installing I happened to be reading the thread Pacoman referenced, and someone there posted the timelapse video of the train station, and BOOM.... I should video the solar install.

I would have missed the beginning of the install anyway as it was RAINING!

I don't know what the quality of the video on Dropbox is because when I view it from Dropbox, the quality is not as good as the original video. But the cloud version is the same size as the original. I don't know if they downgrade it a bit for "broadcast"/streaming or what? I don't know if someone downloads it, if it is clearer.

I've just done a capture that I think shows the difference in quality:

I just downloaded the DropBox vid, and the download is 720P. You probably recorded the vid when Advanced Cam only supported up to 720P video recording- 1080P was added in a later update. Anyhow, I bought the app specifically because it supported digital zoom for video recording. I had been searching for that feature for a while before Advanced Cam came out, even searching Google Play for apps that I could convert and sideload, without success. The other features, to me, are gravy (and I do like gravy).

Yeah, Lesser Seattle will probably revoke my membership! I don't know, it's going on something like 24 or 25 days of no rain - unheard of. Did a good hike today with expansive views.

I've put it on the dash of my car and captured the drive in. Loads of fun around the office too.

BTW, it does shut the screen off now. That conserves some juice.
