this i think is the biggest dissapointment so far. i know it will take time to get all the things we want.but.......this was suppose to be the 1st proffesional grade tablet.. so far just an expensive game. more buisness items should have been there at launch if the proffesional market is what they were aiming for. dont get me wrong i love it so far and a loyal bb customer. just cant do much with it in my working life. way to many chessy game apps

You can create directories and folders using Explorer in Windows once you've mapped the Playbook drive. However the directory structure is not accessible right now by any app. Fortunately any files you copy into these folders are displayed in one big scrollable list for the associated application so they are accessible to use.

not being able to create folders for documents is a MAJOR oversight / shortcoming.
they really need to fix that ASAFP. what happens when someone has 200 PDFs of different nature on their playbook? are they supposed to scroll through all that alphabetically or use that search feature? it's ridiculous.
right now I only have about 50 and it's already driving me nuts. technical books are mixed in with cooking recipes and instruction manuals. I need these things to be organized. stat!fool me once, shame on you. fool me twice.. well.. RIM won't fool me twice because the PB is the first and last product I ever buy from them
actually, the playbook is now just one decent PDF reader away from "pret-ty gooood!!"
Actually, Repligo.. cough cough.. awesome.. cough - 04-30-2011, 07:55 AM #7
you hit the nail on the head. i have 100's of equipment pd's. this actuall was one of my main reasons for waiting for the pb. didnt want to have to deal with the extra step the ipad crowd has to do to import them.although im being shown up by my pals rite now and it sucks. lol im having to eat a **** of alot of humble pie over the last 2 weeks after 6 months of thinking how i was gona blow them away. not giving up though. just hope folders are fix and soon
