Finally bought an HDMI cord for my PB and

damn I was missing out! I have a pretty good home theatre setup, good 5.1 surround and a 40inch LED. Looks amazing on there, watching Minority Report 1080p off my PB. Plus having all my music hooked up to my surround. its awesome. By far the best 250(32gb) dollar piece of tech ive ever bought Love the remote control function too. Kinda wish I bought a longer cord though so i can play games like DeadSpace and Asphalt. Oh well, maybe later.

spencerdl, do. and dont wait. you can get a cable from amazon for next to nothing, ine cost £3 shipped and its the absolute best accessory you can get for the pb, as well as the cheapest. no pb should be without one, its just a shame RIM didnt include one (huge oversight i feel) as it really does open up a whole new amazing experience with the tablet and if they came with one the HDMI would be pushed as a major selling point.

Ofcourse it's time to order spencerdl you dummy! It's one of the first thing to buy when you get your PlayBook.
Hahah, though i already have a hmdi cabel i just bought a hdmi adapter. No need for an extra hdmi cabel.
When you have the hdmi cabel and you will pair it with your flatscreen or whatever you will rave even more.

I just ordered 2 cables finally (one for each one of my PB's).. It's at my mailbox and will pick them up in the morning.

Got these as it was suggested by another poster... 15ft is alittle longer than I really need, but then ya never know!

To fully appreciate the PlayBook, you should buy a HDMI cable ASAP, provided you have a HD television or monitor available. It's awesome. Even more so with the included remote.

I bought 6ft and I'm regretting it. Should have been longer.

I refuse to buy anything from Amazon. If you search for a BlackBerry PlayBook, the prices are $25 higher then they should be and they list a kindle fire.

I always use my HDMI cable when I watch the crackberry videos, it's awesome. It's also good for:
Movies
Photo slideshows
Gaming (depending on the game)
Video chat
Bragging (look, I'm checking my email on my PlayBook while it's pushing out a movie to the TV!)

Yeah. It's a good point to buy a longer hdmi cable. You never know when it comes in handy.
But then you are thinking it will be too long.. Not at all, the longer the better.
The remote control is sure an nifty feature, so cool you can just laid back on your couch.
And use the remote feature to control your PlayBook like a boss.

I've been using mine for over a month. Love it. Also have one in my office at work. Great for meetings but I admit I use it for videos too.

I bought one of those cables for about $29.00. Last week a friend ordered a PB on Amazon and the cable as well. The cable cost 3 cents plus about $3.00 shipping. O well, it works great.
