Hey guys,

First post here as a Crackberry user. I've created a Crackberry account just to show support and spread the world of one of my favourite tower-defense games that I hope will come to the Playbook! If you've never seen or heard of this game check out the review below. I've contact the devs themselves are they sound open to bringing this amazing game to playbook if enough support is shown. Please email with a request to bring this game to playbook!

Hey Jerome,

Thanks for your support Unfortunately, we don't currently have
plans to port Fieldrunners to the Blackberry Playbook. That said, the more people that ask us to do this, the more likely it is to happen.
So tell other Blackberry owners to send their requests our way!

Hopefully we'll be on a platform you own soon

Is there an easy way to facilitate reaching out to users? I'm sure Subatomic Studios would reach more blackberry users than I could about the possibility of aFieldrunners version on Playbook through facebook/twitter or on your news page. I bet the support for this would be very appealing among users.

Hey Jerome,

That's a good point. We can try reaching out to folks, but to be
honest, our team is super strapped right now on our new project. Not
a lot of bandwidth to tackle additional ports. We'll see what people
think and figure out what moves to make from there.

Sorry I don't have a better answer! Either way, the more feedback
we get from fans about this, the more likely it is to happen.

Can someone try to convert an existing apk -> bar and test. If it works, then you can get back to the developers with the option to port or find a way to publish as PlayBook native...

Having worked with these guys before, I can easily say that when they have the time and resources they will being it to the PlayBook. They're a good bunch of folks who try to please everyone with their offerings.

honest, the team is super busy right now finishing up some new stuff,
so we're trying to move away from doing more ports of Fieldrunners.
That said, we love our fans and want to make all you guys happy

These guys seem like a great group of devs! To be honest, as more and more PlayBook owners turn up (which they have), requests like this will have MANY different devs looking at this platform. If they don't attempt to port via the Android emulator, they will definitely look into the power and tools available for the PlayBook... Which I have no doubt will have them consider it a of a lot more!

Given how end users can convert APKs to BARs, I don't get why they wouldn't just repackage the Android version and submit it to App World.
