With a promotion code, I was able to order 64GB Playbook for $240 before taxes. This is only $40 more than the RIM employee price. The order arrived within 2 days of purchase.
Jan 26 is the last day for this promotion for shopblackberry.com. PM me for the promotion code.

They don't collect taxes for my 'burgh...which reminds me, where do you live that they charge nearly 13% sales tax. .
No taxes here either. When I ordered a few back in early Jan for company, no taxes either.
I think it may have to do with your billing and shipping address. This is purely a guess as it happens randomly when I use same billing and mailing address on Amazon. Good thing my office is in MO, where my home address in in KS :-)

Good old Quebec,just went up 1% Jan.1
We like to keep our reputation of being the highest taxed in North America.
F##cking thieves the goverment are.
By the way it's more than 13%
Example
The taxes are calculated as follows on a taxable item with a selling price of $100:
Selling price $100.00
GST ($100 5%) $5.00
QST ([$100 + $5] 9.5%) $9.98
Total $114.98
Can't figure out why blackberry is charging me roughly 13% when it should be closer to 15%.
What can ya do?lol

Price of freedom, I suppose. Interesting to note that the most oppressive/repressive regimes out there don't tax their citizens like we do here in N.A. Go figure.
