I was wondering if gmail syncing is clever enough to remember your linked contacts when adding your gmail account on the new bb10devices when they come out.

I'm asking this cos I have set up my contacts perfectly on my playbook and have linked all the contacts where so many separations exists (like twitter facebook phone numbers etc) and it will be a tedious job to do this on the new bb10 phones all over again!

does anyone know how this will work? or do I just have to start the linking all over again??

No that wont work, just make a new backup with desktop manager, new desktop software "link" will restore ur backup on your playbook.
