So if you goto browser setting and click content, you will find the option "enable reader mode on rotation". From my understanding of this, it means that when you rotate the device from landscape to portrait, the screen switches to reader mode which I think it's a very cool idea especially for webpages with a lot of text and links you don't want to click.
My major issue with this is that it flat out doesn't work no matter the OS version. And my thought is why should RIM insert a function in the playbook book that doesn't work? RIM should fix this!
It doesn't do anything. I have it on 2.1 as well. I think it's supposed to auto switch to reading mode when you rotate the screen. It doesn't - you still have to press the button.
I'm sure this is something coming with 2.1 official. I also noticed this feature a few weeks ago and also saw that it doesn't work. Its okay because the official 2.1 will ne here "soon" and it will indeed be a nice feature to have
