After update to OS 2.1.0.1032, my pop account shows only list of messages on the left (inbox), but not content of messages on the right side, nor icons for reply, forward, delete ..
Sometimes (but not always) their is the message: "An unexpected problem occurred with (email-address), some functions may not work properly".
My imap yahoo account works without problems.

Does yahoo still not allow email clients on a computer to access it if you are using a free account? Is the one that works from your isp or carrier?

imap e-mail account from Yahoo is free account and works fine.
pop e-mail account is from ISP (mailservers from isp). Worked with OS 2.0, but fails with OS 2.1.0.1032.

When did yahoo start allowing clients to use the service without using a paid account? I know in the past if I wanted use Outlook for my yahoo account I had to use the ypops program to do it which is a work around.

Prior to the update my email would at times advise of password or connectivity issues I would review info to ensure correct and restart. This solved any issues. May work for you as well.

I've had the same issue with my company's IMAP email, though it seems to send, receive and access folders just fine. I know all of the information is correct since I am the email admin. I am using SSL though so if you're having the same issue also using the protocol then there may be an issue with the way the PlayBook processes SSL.

Hopefully a fix will be on the way.

    to kbz1960:
pop email account (wifi) with problem is paid account from isp (NOT yahoo).

    to madman0141:
the same pop account settings worked without problem with OS 2.0, and were not changed after update to OS 2.1.

I tend to agree with rthonpm that there may be an issue with OS 2.1 in handling emails from mailserver of my specific isp (not the most sophisticated in town).
But as most users have no problems with pop account, perhaps there is some little detail that I overlook, so that's the reason of my posting.

    Many thanks for your advice.

Any reason you don't have it as imap? Just curious.
