It's worked upstairs/downstairs in my home and the bb phone has been inside and I've been in the yard with the pb. Not great distances but walls and floors were separating the units.

I've had my PB in the backyard and the Bold 9900 charging in my bedroom, so I'd say a good 50'-60'.

Didn't one of the recent updates enable bridge over wifi? I know that both devices have to be on the same wifi network, but i don't know how to tell when its bridging over Bluetooth or wifi. Bluetooth has a normal range of 33' wifi on the other hand could have a much larger coverage area.

As far as I know, the BT needs to be connect in orderfor the wifi aid to kick in. If the BT is oit of range, Bridge will not work.

I ever used it for about 20 -30 meters from my PlayBook and it should work.

It is indeed effective at long distances. BB in the top bedroom, PB in the back garden, a good 20 metres distance and it was working flawlessly.
