Download YouTube videos?

Hi guys I am trying to download and convert YouTube videos direct to my PlayBook I have tried filtch site but no joy....is there any software or sites or tips you can teach me....with thanks Andrew

Tubemate on the PlayBook does this perfectly.

Get it via goodereader and localbar.

I'm not sure where you're getting your info. Tubemate doesn't point to anything- it simply lets you search for and download YouTube videos in any of the formats and resolutions available, all from within the app. Dirpy requires you to do a search from within your browser, then copy the link to the video you want to download, then open Dirpy in another tab, then paste in the link, and then download. Tubemate avoids all of these extra steps.

I use Tubemate and it never takes me to an external site to download videos, and I never have to leave the app in any way to download videos. Tapping the download arrow brings up a dialogue asking if I want to download or watch the video, and choosing download brings up another dialogue giving me a choice of resolutions and formats available. I never am taken out of the app to do this. Maybe you're using an older version of Tubemate.

Install went fine and the app works good.
I don't have much experience with the sideloaded apps. The app is asking if I want to update. Is there a problem updating sideloaded apps?

The update will not work. You will have to wait for someone to get the new apk, convert it and then post the bar.

Exactly correct. You will run into this eventually with pretty much all sideloaded apps. Normally even if there is an update for it the current version will continue to work.

Which version do you have?

I have 1.0.5.45 build 277 and I am not asked for an update.
